Event Information

Event Info:
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against this fatal disease. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause. Walks are currently held in nearly 600 locations nationwide.

The Memory Walk is a non-competitive 1 or 3-mile walk and a festive event for families, co-workers and friends of all ages. If you have any questions about the event, contact the Main Chapter office at 913.831.3888, 800.272.3900 or trisha.mcclanahan@alz.org.

Your efforts will help us reach our fundraising goal of $325,000 and MOVE the Cause Forward throughout our Chapter's bi-state service area.
Event Location:
Corporate Woods, Overland Park, KS

Directions: From I-435 you now have two options:

1. Take Hwy. 69 South, take the College Blvd. East exit. At the 3rd light, turn left onto Indian Creek Parkway which enters the Corporate Woods complex.

2. If you're driving West on I-435 you can now take the Antioch exit, turn left onto Antioch & turn right onto Indian Creek Parkway into the Corporate Woods complex.

Fees:

No Entry-Fee Event: No Fees
There is no fee to participate, but those who raise $100 qualify to receive a 2009 Memory Walk T-shirt!

$100+ - 2009 Memory Walk T-Shirt  
Registered walkers raising $100 or more are qualified to receive a short sleeve Memory Walk T-shirt.

Important Note: Shirts are only guaranteed for walkers turning in the required $100 by Noon on Friday, October 2. The Chapter does not guarantee the availability of shirts for walkers turning in the qualifying amount after this deadline.

Teams will be awarded separate prizes for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

Important Note: Team prizes are based on team totals as of 7:00 p.m. on Bank Day, Wednesday, September 30. Prizes will be announced at the Champions Ceremony the morning of the Walk.
